Super Nintendo for Today’s Player
Why make a site dedicated to Super Nintendo reviews in 2024?
Despite being released way back in 1991, the Super Nintendo remains one of the most influential gaming consoles of all time. With a library full of games featured at the top of many “best games of all times” lists even today, the SNES has a tonne to offer both new and old fans. We’ve built this site because we want to properly introduce a new generation to one of the best console libraries of all time and remind old players exactly what made Super Nintendo so great.
Who is this site for anyway?
It’s for everyone! Well, almost everyone… since our content is going to primarily focus on the North American and European game libraries, if you came looking for Super Famicon content you might be a little disappointed. We’re also going to focus on titles that hold up to modern game standards, so if you’ve got a bad case of nostalgia blindness your mileage may vary. And last but also certainly least, if you’re into Sega Genesis, well then don’t let the door hit you on the way out!
What type of content will you have?
Initially we want to focus strictly on reviews and centralizing game information to help someone curious about the world of Super Nintendo or a particular game easily dive in. However as the site grows we will also be aspiring to be the definitive and centralized resource for a lot more than just game reviews. In addition to reviewing old games from a modern perspective we’re hoping to publish guides on how to setup your flash cart, teach people the basics on how to spot a fake cartridge, and even recommend modern games players might be interested in if they like particular SNES titles. We’re pretty open to ideas so if you have anything you would like to see or contribute, feel free to shoot us an email!
